iTS Consultancy was incorporated in 2009. iTS design services for the built environment. iTS draws on experience gained by many years in the construction industry spanning industrial, commercial, residential, retail, leisure, healthcare and education.
iTS has grown relatively steadily since 2009, with a desire to work with clients we can form mutually respected relationships with, offering an enjoyable and repeat business relationship. This has led to significant growth over the last few years. Due to this desire, our business is established on predominately repeat business, built on our reputation.

The Building Services team at iTS provide design and management services relating to the mechanical, electrical and public health elements (MEP) within buildings.
Building Services elements typically account for up to 40% of the total construction cost of a new-build office project, and up to 50% of the cost of a refurbishment office project. It is therefore imperative that early consideration is given to the Building Engineering Services elements within a building, to ensure these costs are managed carefully.
iTS believe engaging a building services consultant early in any construction project is vital to any projects success. Early strategic decisions on how building services fit is essential. Services plant allocation and conceptual planning on how to deliver services such as heating, ventilation and air-conditioning need to influence key decisions.
During the operational period of a building, Building Engineering Services can be one of the main sources of complaints from tenants and can influence a tenants decisions in lease negotiations.
John Palmer
John is an experienced building services engineer and manager. Previous roles have encompassed a variety of responsibilities including design, project management, strategy implementation, budgetary control and general management.
He has a propensity to provide simple engineering logic to design solutions based on his experiences in the industry. John’s career spans many areas of engineering, starting as an apprentice for Kodak where he progressed through the company to the engineering design department working on major manufacturing projects. John has also spent time in the NHS as a design engineer and MEP facilities manager.

A period in M&E contracting helped him gain a business acumen, which was followed by an appointment in a building services consultancy practice.

Sam Palmer
Sam is an experienced building services engineer. Previous roles have encompassed various MEP sectors including retail, sports & leisure, commercial, education, residential and industrial. Responsibilities include design, project management, fee preparation, budgetary control, witnessing and commissioning.
At a leading Building Services Consultancy Sam progressed from Engineer to Senior Engineer. His work spanned detailed M&E building services design, general management, fee proposals and client liaison.
In 2013 Sam joined iTS, since then Sam has worked on a wide range of projects. He is well respected amongst our clients for being very knowledgeable on cutting edge innovations and renewable technologies.
